LB Breaks It Down

LB Breaks It Down

Earlier this summer IRS broke that this Coastal Bend prospect was a target. As the summer starts to dwindle down and high school practices are around the corner, we check in for the latest.

Christian Britt, now a 6'2" 215lb linebacker of Ingleside High School was the first known LB offer at the position for the Coaching Staff. Over the summer he's added a few pounds and has even increased his speed to the 4.6 range. With good size and great speed for his position, college programs are taking notice.

Since August 1st was the first day college programs could mail out formal offers to the 2014 class, Britt has confirmed he's received offers from Louisiana Tech, Louisiana Monroe and UTEP.

As for UTSA, we did confirm that his offer is currently not a committable one. The staff does want to continue it's thorough evaluation and see him in action the first couple of games during his senior campaign. If the staff see's what they expect, then a formal offer will be on the table.

"A formal offer would mean a lot. I could stay really close to home. They just want to see me in a few games," said Britt.

Other programs that have been in contact and are showing more interest are Houston, Colorado and Texas State. Texas State is checking his transcript and grades. An offer could soon follow.

Britt was extremely excited to talk football and the upcoming season for his Mustangs. With all the hard work he's put in this summer to get bigger, faster and better, he's anxious to help lead his team to a deeper playoff run.
