Keys To Victory at UTEP

Coming off two huge challenges, the Roadrunners now must focus on the UTEP Miners and Conference USA Play.

In the past, the UTSA offense has been able to score touchdowns when presented with the opportunity. That was not the case against Arizona.

While place kicker Sean Ianno has proven to be a valuable commodity, the Roadrunner offense must score touchdowns in order to be successful.

It's no secret that UTEP will run the ball. They will line up in two-back and/or two-tight end sets and focus on the ground game.

For the most part, the UTSA Hard Hat Defensive front seven have proven to answer the call when it comes to stopping the running game.

A common denominator in 2012 has been that UTSA has gotten behind early in games.

The Roadrunners cannot continue to put themselves in an early whole and expect to keep coming back.

Whether it be turnovers, penalties, or other mistakes, UTSA must cut down on those types of plays early on to try to use whatever positive momentum they gain to their advantage.
