On Tuesday night UTSA added a place kicker to the 2014 recruiting class.

Yanni Routsas, a 6'4" 195lb place kicker from Clear Brook High School in Friendswood, committed to join the 2014 football recruiting class on Tuesday.

"The campus is awesome. Everything about UTSA made me feel good about the decision," said Routsas.

Routsas, who let coaches know Tuesday night of his decision, is a combo place kicker and punter. In high school, he's had the ability to consistently hit field goals from 45 yards.

"I really liked the coaching staff," said Routsas. "I felt comfortable the entire time I've been talking with them."

Routsas will come to UTSA as a preferred walk on, but was told he could be put on scholarship as early as his second semester on campus.

Routsas attended the summer camp, where he got a chance to visit the campus as well as chat with Head Coach Larry Coker. He also attended the Oklahoma St game.

"It was incredible. It's a great atmosphere," Routsas said of the game in the Alamodome.

Routsas, who had mild interest in Air Force, is now excited to be a Roadrunner.

"It feels good. I feel like I'm already there at UTSA," said Routsas.
