‘Runners Lose Second Straight

UTSA fell to Georgia St 99-68 on Sunday afternoon at the Convocation Center.

The tough beginning to the 2013-14 season continued for UTSA as they dropped their second straight game on Sunday.

Georgia State jumped out to an early lead they would not look back from.

R.J. Hunter scored a career high 41 points on 14 three pointers for Georgia St.

As a team, GA St shot 83% from beyond the three point line.

The ‘Runners were only able to score 28 points on 39% shooting in the first half. UTSA finished the game shooting 44% from the field.

Although UTSA fought in the second half, Georgia St was difficult to stop offensively.

Three Roadrunners scored in double figures led by Jordan Sims' 17 points. James Williams had his best performance as a Roadrunner with 16 points. Edrico McGregor added 10 points.

Starting point guard Keon Lewis did not play.

UTSA will take the holidays off and return to action on Tuesday, Dec 31 to face Cameron.
