Dual Threat QB Close To Offer

Dual Threat QB Close To Offer

The chapter on the 2014 recruiting cycle is finished. Now the page turns to the 2015 recruiting cycle. This dual threat quarterback believes UTSA may be the first school to offer him.

After losing two quarterbacks from last season's roster, UTSA will be in the market for several players at that position for the 2015 recruiting class.

Enter Manny Harris. The dual threat quarterback from Copperas Cove has already been hearing from UTSA recently and expects an offer could be coming soon.

"I think UTSA might offer pretty soon," said Harris. "I don't know much about UTSA but I'm really looking forward to going to their Junior Day. I feel that they're going to offer first."

Harris, who recently attended the Junior Day at Texas State, will attend UTSA's Junior Day on Feb. 22.

Although Harris does not currently have any offers, he has received interested from North Texas, Texas State, UTSA, Oklahoma State, Utah State and Baylor. In fact, Baylor's offensive coordinator paid Harris a visit at school.

UTSA is recruiting Harris as a quarterback. At 6'2", 215lbs, and with 4.7-40 speed, Harris is the essence of a dual threat player.

In 2013, Harris completed 280 of 454 passes (62% completion) for 3775 yards. He rushed for 503 yards and amassed 38 total touchdowns. Harris was his district's MVP as well as All State Honorable Mention.

"I'm still wide open right now," said Harris. "My top schools are Baylor and Texas, those are my dream schools."

Harris is looking into Baylor's junior day and is expected to attend Houston's Junior Day.
