Center Receives Offer

This prospect from the DFW area became a target over the weekend. He talks about his visit to UTSA.

On Saturday at UTSA's Junior Day, Clayton Woods received the first offer to an offensive lineman for the 2015 recruiting period.

"It was good. The coaches treated me well. I met the current center and got to know him a little bit. I talked with some of the position coaches, and then met Coach Coker at the end. That's when he offered me," said Woods.

Woods, a 6'3" 280lb Center from Highland Park in the DFW area, likes UTSA.

"They seemed really interested in me," said Woods. "I really like the mixture of the experienced guys and some young talent. I really like the offensive coordinator and the o-line coach. I was really impressed. It was a good ran Junior Day, I had a good time."

Woods says was surprised with how UTSA presented itself.

"The campus was nice, the facilities were good. I'm excited to see how things grow," said Woods.

UTSA is Woods' first offer, although he has had some interest from SMU, Rice, UNT, and Northwestern.

As far as a timetable for making a decision, Woods is weighing his waiting right now.

"I have no idea on a time frame," said Woods. "UTSA was the first place I visited. They offered me and that's really exciting but I don't really have a time frame for making a decision."
